Slovenian President receives UAE's Ambassador credentials
Ljubljana - May 9, 2010 (WAM)- H.E. Dr Danilo Turk, President of the Republic of Slovenia received the credentials of H.E. Abdul-Aziz Bin Nasser Al Shamisi, UAE ambassador to Italy, the first UAE non-resident Ambassador to Slovenia.
During the meeting that took place at the presidential palace in the capital Ljubljana, Al Shamsi conveyed the greetings of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Slovenian President along with wishes to the Slovenian people for further progress.
Al Shamsi stressed the importance of developing friendship ties and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, pointing out UAE's leadership keenness to further develop bilateral relations in various fields.
For his part, the Slovenian President expressed his appreciation on the diplomatic relations between the two countries. He also welcomed Al Shamsi expressing his wishes to open an embassy for UAE in his country. The UAE ambassador wished that the distinguished relations between Slovenia and UAE will develop further.
Moreover, Turk hailed the comprehensive cultural renaissance UAE is witnessing in various fields, especially in the economic field qualifying UAE to become an important centre of international trade.
He also stated that UAE's policy confirmed that "Unity and peace among nations are the most important and best factors to achieve progress and prosperity."
