Mexican officials visit UAE pavilion at 2010 Shanghai Expo

Shanghai - May 16, 2010 (WAM)- A Mexican delegation led by the Consul General in Shanghai Jose Gabriel and head of protocol at the Mexican Pavilion Graciella Reyes visited the UAE pavilion at the current Expo 2010 Shanghai. In remarks during a tour at the UAE pavilion where they experienced the rapid growth of the UAE, the Mexican officials noted that the UAE-Mexican economic and trade relations continue to make progress.
They further expressed admiration of the UAE's impressive presence at the world's biggest exhibition noting that 15 minutes were enough to view the prosperity, harmony, culture and innovativeness of our young nation to the world.
The spectacular and huge sand dune-like UAE pavilion which covers more than 6000 square meters in the heart of the Expo site, is showcasing the prosperity, harmony, culture and innovativeness of the country to the world.
Aisha Al-Mashwi, who is the first UAE female to receive a tourist guide license, who took the delegation on a journey inside the UAE pavilion, said around 5000 visitors flow in the UAE pavilion everyday.
"As a tourist guide, you have got to live the dreams of many other people," she told WAM.
Expo 2010 is expected to attract 70 million visitors over a six-month period, from 1 May to 31 October 2010, the largest World Expo ever. Over 200 participants have signed up for the fair, the widest in the history of World Expos.
