German Chancellor opens gas refuelling station in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 26, 2010 (WAM)- German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel opened a natural gas refuelling station at the Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Merkel is currently on a visit to the UAE leading a delegation as part of her tour of the region. Earlier she attended the closing ceremony of the UAE-German Joint Economic Commission meeting in Abu Dhabi. The opening of the station was attended by Yousef Omair Bin Yousef, Secretary-General of the Supreme Petroleum Council and CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Abdullah bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, Deputy CEO of ADNOC, Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmoud, UAE Ambassador to Germany, other officials and the members of the German delegation. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
