Mohammed bin Zayed receives Ph.D. from KAIST

Seoul - H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science and Technology for the service of humanity from Korea Advanced Institute of Science '&' Technology (KAIST), on of South Korea's leading universities, at a colourful ceremony held this evening at Lotte Hotel in Seoul.
The Ph.D. was conferred on Sheikh Mohammed in recognition of his efforts in the fields of human development and his remarkable contribution in improving quality of education.
The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and senior officials from the two countries.
Sheikh Mohammed received the honour from Nam Pyo Suh, President of KAIST, who praised Sheikh Mohammed's vision for cooperation among world's leading research and educational institutes to create a leap in the educational outputs.
He also hailed UAE's leadership and its visionary thinking by launching a peaceful nuclear programme to serve the ongoing development in a time that many countries still rely on crude oil to generate power. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
