Qattami receives Australian Minister

Abu Dhabi May 31, 2010 (WAM)- Minister of Education Humaid Mohamed Al Qattami, received in Abu Dhabi yesterday Victorian Minister for Education, Skills and Workforce Bronwyn Pike, who is currently a visit to the UAE. At the meeting held at the Minister's office, Qattami hailed the depth of relations and cooperation between the UAE and Australia, particularly in the area of the exchange of experiences and education.
He also asserted UAE's keenness on interacting with different cultures of the world. He also shed light on the strategy of the Education Ministry to push the country towards the line of the developed nations in the world.
During the meeting, they reviewed the educational system in Australia and explored the possibilities of benefitting from the Australian experience in the field of education. Both the ministers stressed the need to enhance cooperation between UAE and Australia in areas of common interest. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Education and the delegation accompanying the visiting minister. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
