UAE, other Arab countries asked to move their injured people onboard Freedom Flotilla
Amman - June 2, 2010 (WAM)- Jordan has taken steps to move injured people from the UAE and other Arab countries onboard the Freedom Flotilla to its territories, a senior official said yesterday.
Jordanian Minister of State for Information '&' Communication Nabil Al Sharif, said that acting on the directives of King Abdullah II of Jordan, the Foreign Ministry was coordinating, through the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv, to guarantee safe home return of citizens of several Arab countries via Jordan. According to Al Sharif, a number of countries, including the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, Algeria and Pakistan, asked to move their citizens through Jordan. Al Sharif said that once they arrive, the injured citizens of these countries will receive medical care at the hospitals of Jordan before heading to their countries. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
