FNC condemns Israeli attack on Freedom Flotilla

Abu Dhabi, June 2, 2010 (WAM)- The Federal National Council (FNC) yesterday strongly condemned in a statement the Israeli military attack on Freedom Flotilla in the international waters carrying humanitarian relief to the besieged people of Gaza.
It called for concerted international and parliamentary condemnation of the Israeli aggression and investigate and hold the Israel accountable for its actions. The statement called for sustained pressure on Israel to fully lift the siege on the Gaza Strip and its population and release the relief convoy, including the parliamentarians and volunteers.
In the light of this plight, the statement continued, the Israelis have once more exhibited they are disdainful of human lives through constant targeting of disarmed civilians and continuous violation of the international law.
Expressing its profound concern, the FNC reiterates its calls on the international community, Arab and international parliaments to denounce the Israeli aggression and other Israel practices against Palestinians.
The FNC calls for conducting neutral international investigation to probe the Israeli heinous aggression and hold it accountable for the tragic consequences and continuous inhuman siege of Gaza Strip It called on immediate release of relief convoys, parliamentarians and volunteers detained aboard the vessels. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
