Website launched in Japanese in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, June 6, 2010 (WAM)- Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) launched yesterday the Japanese version of the tourist website "Visit Abu Dhabi." This move coincides with the authority's objective to take advantage of the opportunities available in the promising Japanese market, especially with the current boost in the aerial ties between Abu Dhabi and Japan following Etihad Airlines' launch of direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Nagoya, the third largest Japanese city, and Tokyo.
According to the press release issued by the ADTA, the hotels and lodging establishments in Abu Dhabi accommodated 2782 guests from Japan during the first four months of this year, which signifies a 1% increase in comparison to the same period last year. The number of the website surfers also increased 26% against last year.
Khalid Al Hashemi, administrative affairs director at the ADTA referred to the increase of interest of the Japanese market to get more information about Abu Dhabi as a distinctive cultural and heritage attraction. The website provides detailed information on the locations of hotels, tourist places, Abu Dhabi national airport, Etihad Airways and service providers such as taxi companies and agencies for renting vehicles. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
