UAE Vice President meets Queen Elizabeth

London - June 6, 2010 (WAM)- Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met yesterday Queen Elizabeth II of Britain on the sideline of the English Derby at Epsom Racecourse.
Present were H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, HRH Prince Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed and H.H. Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
Queen Elizabeth praised the Al Maktoum for their engagement in the development of the British horse racing sports through their strong participation in these meetings especially the English Derby.
The Queen commended Sheikh Mohammed's role in advancing the world horse race championships. Sheikh Mohammed's role in building Meydan, one of the world's largest integrated horse-racing facilities, has also drawn praise from the Queen who said the Meydan racecourse is a wonderful gift to the world horse racing sports. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
