Senegalese Ambassador hails UAE's Sheikh Khalifa' humanitarian initiatives
Abu Dhabi, June 15, 2010 (WAM)- Ambassador of Senegal to the UAE Abdul Rehman Dayyoub has hailed the humanitarian initiatives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to mitigate the suffering of people in disaster and conflict zones around the world.
"Such initiatives promote humanitarian solidarity among peoples of the world and promotes the UAE as a pioneer in the area of generous giving with noble goals," the Senegalese diplomat.
He paid tribute to the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan who was "left behind this noble and rich legacy of championing the weak and underprivileged people." He also hailed the efforts and close follow-up on humanitarian situation in Senegal by H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and President of the RCA.
Dayyoub made his remarks at a meeting with Secretary General of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) Mohammed Khalifa Al-Qamzi and other senior officials. The meeting discussed RCA's development projects in different areas of Senegal. These include health, education, housing and water projects for the most vulnerable people in Senegal.
