Mohammed bin Zayed tours SMEs exhibition

Abu Dhabi, June 17 2010 (WAM)H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces visited yesterday the 3rd annual exhibition for projects financed by the Khalifa Fund to Support and Develop Small '&' Medium Enterprises.
Sheikh Mohammed stopped at the different stands of the exhibition and was briefed by the project owners about the nature of the products and services on display.
He said that the government of Abu Dhabi, in keeping with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was focusing on spreading benefits of developments and providing an attractive environment for investments.
Sheikh Mohammed ordered more support to the owners of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) which, he said, represent one of the pillars of the emirate's macro-economy.
The exhibition is showcasing more than 20 projects financed by the Fund, covering different sectors such as industry, services, agriculture, tourism, IT and handicrafts. Hussain Jassem Al Nowais, Chairman of Khalifa Fund to Support and Develop Small '&' Medium Enterprises, said the visit of Sheikh Mohammed reflected his unlimited support to the SMEs and to the culture of excellence, creativeness and sustainable development. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
