Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital lunches in Morocco

Missour, Morocco, June 21, 2010 (WAM)- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority (UAERCA) has said that Emirates mobile hospital initiative is aimed at country's efforts to implement health programs all over the world.
He said this on the occasion of launching of Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital mission in Missour region, Morocco. Sheikh Hamdan explained that choosing the Kingdom of Morocco to be the second stop of the mobile hospital assures the deepness of relations between both countries, pointing out that the mobile hospital, which was inaugurated in Missour region, will continue to provide affordable treatment programs, prevention training and awareness for six months besides sending medical convoys from the mobile hospital in the region to other areas in the country.
He hailed the efforts of Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, Moroccan Ministry of Health, the administration of Zayed Hospital in Rabat, Fez University Hospital and many other departments in Morocco.
It should be mentioned that the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital in Missour includes 25 beds, sections of primary health care, emergency care, a section of surgery and a unit of internal diseases, cardiac catheterisation unit and a dental clinic, in addition to equipments for sterilising medical instruments, intensive care units, intermediate care unit, minimal care unit, pharmacy, laboratory, x-ray section, maintenance section and a unit of power generation and medical supplies.
The launching of the mobile hospital was attended by senior officials and in cooperation with UAE Ministries of Health and Interior, Armed Forces, National Authority for Emergency and Crisis Management, AD Police, Health Authority in Abu Dhabi, UAERCA, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works, Zakat Fund, Emirates World Heart Group, Emirates News Agency (WAM), Abu Dhabi TV, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, Advanced Integrated Systems, Abu Dhabi Company for Health Services, Al Noor Hospital, Emirates Cardiology Centre, National Training Foundation, and the emirates group. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
