UAE Ambassador to Iceland presents credentials

London - June 23, 2010 (WAM)- UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom Abdul Rehman Ghanem Al-Mutaiwei has presented his credentials as the UAE non-UAE resident ambassador to Iceland to President Olafur Grimsson. At the meeting at the presidential palace in Iceland's capital Reykjavik, Al-Mutaiwei conveyed to the Icelandic President greetings and best wishes from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Grimsson asked the new ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to the UAE leadership. He underscored the promotion of relations with the UAE in various areas such as trade, investment and tourism. For his part, the UAE ambassador expressed the UAE's interest in expanding bilateral relations with Iceland in all areas and at all levels. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
