International delegations continue to visit UAE Pavilion in Shanghai Expo exhibition

Shanghai - july 1, 2010 (WAM)- A number of international delegations continue to visit the UAE pavilion at the 2010 Expo exhibition which is currently held in China.
Salem Saeed Al A'meri, Deputy Director General of National Media Council (NMC) and Commissioner-General of the UAE pavilion, received Elisabet Falemo, State Secretary of the Swedish Ministry of Environment and her accompanying delegation.
Falemo expressed her admiration of the UAE pavilion and the State's efforts to preserve the environment, its use of sustainable and modern techniques and its future projects in the field of clean energy.
On his part, Al Ameri explained that the UAE's continuous efforts in various development fields, specifically the urban development to spread the advanced cities-related concepts.
Delegations from the organising committee of the 2010 Korean exhibition, Expo Yeosu visited the UAE pavilion along with the Singapore Tourism Board, the University IUAV of Venice headed by Angelo Bugatti, Yang Weiguo, the Ambassador of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Li Huaxin, the Chinese Ambassador to Syria and Liu Denglin the Chinese ambassador to Yemen.
The delegations which were either political, economic or industrial were briefed on the social, economic and industrial development of the UAE during their visit to the pavilion.
The delegations expressed their admiration in the development of the UAE and stressed on the importance of these meetings to exchange ideas and expertise in all fields. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
