Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation to help 44,900 families during Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, July 4, 2010 (WAM)- The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation will start over the next week the implementation of project "Ramadan Supplies for 2010", which will benefit more than 44,900 families in the UAE in cooperation with the Ministry of Social affairs. The supplies will reach houses of deserved families on the expense of the foundation.
The project will be completed before advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan. The distribution of food items to beneficiaries will be in accordance with the Ministry of Social Affairs' lists.
About 3, 000 people will benefit from this project. The foundation announced that the volume of different types food items to be supplied to the beneficiaries is estimated at more than 20 tons of dry food in addition to other food items that people need during the Ramadan. The food items will be distributed on regular basis through specialised centres in the UAE at regular timings to receive so that the beneficiary received their allocations easily.
This project is funded by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation through direct supervision and daily follow up of the foundations' staff and their coordinators in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs.
