Foreign Minister receives Canadian counterpart, Panamanian official
Abu Dhabi, July 19, 2010 (WAM)- Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received in Abu Dhabi yesterday Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Lawrence Cannon and discussed with him ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance them.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the Canadian official and his accompanying delegation and expressed the hope that his visit will further strengthen relations between the two countries.
They discussed latest regional and international developments, as well as topics of mutual interest.
Afterwards, Sheikh Abdullah received Deputy Foreign Minister of Panama Melton Arusha. They reviewed means to bolster political and economic cooperation. Arusha said he was impressed with the huge progress made by the UAE thanks to the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
