Khalifa Charity Foundation sends tons of dates to brotherly and friendly countries

Abu Dhabi, July 21, 2010 (WAM)- Khalifa Bin Zayed Charity Foundation has started distribution of dates to brotherly and friendly countries on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The first 20 tons shipment was sent to Astana, capital of Kazakhstan to be distributed to the needy people before the holy month. In the framework of Khalifa Charity Foundation's keenness to meet the needs of some families, other shipments will be sent to a number of brotherly and friendly countries. Last year, the foundation shipped more than 123 tons of dates to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Germany, Switzerland, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan for distribution to needy people. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
