Sharjah Ramadan Festival begins on Aug. 12
Sharjah, Aug 5, 2010 (WAM)- The organising committee of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival has completed preparations for the launch of the event on Aug. 12 and will run till Sept. 18.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) plans in cooperation with the local public departments and institutions to make the event successful. Many commercial, social, cultural, religious, sport, environment and heritage sectors will participate in the festival.
Mohammed Ahmed Amin, assistant director of the economic and international affairs at SCCI, General Coordinator of the Festival said the huge applications for participation submitted by private sector highlights the role of the festival. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
