FNC First Deputy Speaker meets Korean National Assembly delegation
Abu Dhabi, Aug 8, 2010 (WAM)- First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) Ahmed Shabib Al Dhahiri on Wednesday received Won Yoo, Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral ties between the two friendly countries and ways to boost mutual cooperation in parliamentary, economic, investment, tourism, environmental, energy and technology fields.
Al Dhahiri also discussed with Korean official a number of issues of common interest and also exchanged views on the overall regional and international developments in particular the peace process in the Middle East and ways to achieve security and stability in the region.
The Korean official expressed his happiness with this visit hailing UAE leadership keenness to closer ties between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchange commemorative shields. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
