UAE Field Hospital for Children to increase bed capacity in flood-hit Sindh Province
Abu Dhabi, Sept 15, 2010 (WAM)- The UAE Humanitarian Field Hospital for Children "Riaya" has decided to increase its beds capacity to 120 during the next couple of days in Pakistan to keep pace with the increasing needs of those affected by the floods in Sindh province.
Besides an intensive care unit has been launched and equipped with advance medical supplies to provide the best medical services in critical cases.
It should be mentioned that the hospital was launched under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of General Women Union and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and in line with the initiative of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler in Western Region and Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
