ADCO and ADMA-OPCO win two ADIPEC 2010 Excellence in Energy Awards
Abu Dhabi, Nov 7, 2010 (WAM)- The Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Operations (ADCO) and the Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) have won two ADIPEC 2010 Excellence in Energy awards.
The awards were presented in a ceremony on the second day of this global event at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel, Abu Dhabi and was attended by Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, ADNOC Deputy CEO, and senior oil and gas executives from both the UAE and the region.
The Award, which was organised for the first time in the event's history, includes six categories: The Best Future Leadership Program and Diversity in the Workplace, HSE Project or Initiative, CSR Initiative, Best Innovation or Technology, Best Project and Energy Company '&' Executive of the Year.
Saudi Aramco took two awards for Best Innovation or Technology and the Energy Company and Energy Executive of the Year, the last being granted to Khalid Al Falih, president and Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi giant.
ADCO won the Project of the Year Award while ADMA-OPCO received the CSR Initiative of the Year Award. Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, ADMA-OPCO CEO received an award in recognition of his distinguished efforts while chairing ADIPEC 2008 Conference.
The two other awards were given to QP Shell for its HSE Project or Initiative of the Year and to Tawazun Holding for its future Leadership Program of the Year. The prestigious ceremony crowned ADIPEC's second successful day which witnessed a visit by Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education '&' Scientific Research, who was received in ADNOC stand by Abdullah Nasser Al Suweidi, Deputy CEO, ADNOC, and other senior officials in the Group.
ADMA-OPCO was initially nominated for five of the award's six categories.
