Attiyah lauds UAE for its adherence to GCC resolutions

Abu Dhabi, Nov 23, 2010 (WAM)- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman Al-Attiyah hailed the positive role of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in supporting the march of GCC.
In a statement made shortly after the conclusion of the 4th meeting of the GCC parliaments in Abu Dhabi, Attiyah said that UAE gave strong support to GCC and implemented all its resolutions, thanks to the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa.
In the run-up to the 31st GCC summit to be held in Abu Dhabi, the UAE's commitment to the GCC resolutions will work as a clear evidence of the sincere desire of the member states to implement the entire decisions of the confederation, he added.
Speaking about the cooperation in the economic sphere, Attiyah said that certain issues, such as those related to the customs union, will shortly be resolved before the Abu Dhabi summit, and a number of new strategies will be introduced. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
