UAE helps expatriates re-connect with their home countries
Cairo - December 5, 2010 (WAM)- The UAE spares no effort in working to strengthen Arab expatriates links with their home countries, affirmed Labour Minister Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash. In an address made before the first Arab Expatriates conference which opened yesterday at the General Secretariat of the Arab League, Ghobash said like other GCC countries, the UAE has no large communities of citizens living abroad permanently.
"Yet, and emanating from its keenness to support Arab causes, the UAE spares no effort in helping to strengthen expatriates' bonds with their countries and with the Arab world," he said.
Ghobash stressed the importance of enabling Arab expatriates to maintain their Arab culture and to teach Arabic language to the second and third generations of Arab expatriates. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
