UAE reconstruction team hands over two mosques to Afghani authorities

Afghanistan - Dec 8, 2010 (WAM)- Under directives of UAE President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and a follow up of H.H. Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the UAE Reconstruction team in Afghanistan handed over two fully equipped mosques to the concerned authorities at Barwan state in Afghanistan. The total expenses of the two places of worship reached Dh857,000 (US$233,411). The inauguration ceremony was attended by key Afghan officials and dignitaries of tribes at Barwan state in Afghanistan.– Emirates News Agency, WAM
