RCA completes the vaccination of 1.3 million Pak children in Karachi

Karachi - Abu Dhabi, Feb 28, 2011 (WAM) - UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has so far completed the vaccination of 1.3 million Pakistani children out of targeted 2 million children in Karachi, at 188 centres. The RCA medical campaign is funded by H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Chairwoman of the UAE General Women's Union (GWU), and of Family Development Foundation (FDF). The team has stepped up the efforts in cooperation and partnership with United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (Unicef) and the Pakistani Ministry of Health. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
