Anasy Media Production Company distributes "Zayed The Pride of UAE" to Virgin Mega Stores
Abu Dhabi, March 10, 2011 (WAM) - Anasy Media Production Company has launched "Zayed... The Pride of UAE", a documentary on the UAE founding father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at Virgin Mega Stores in the UAE and the Middle East.
"Zayed... The Pride of UAE is co-produced and sponsored by Mohammed bin Nasser bin Muthaker Al-Shafi Al-Hajri. The film poetically, illustrates the life and achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed, his leading role in the progress of UAE and his great support for achieving civilisation and progress. This comes as an expression of loyalty to the great late Sheikh Zayed and as recognition of his support towards all UAE nationals who live nowadays in prosperity, safety and abundance reflected on every citizen and resident.
The documentary was directed by Pierre Abu Chaqra, while Dr. Emad Zaki wrote the script. The script features a combination of narrative and poetic styles to tell the story of the noble knight, Sheikh Zayed, who turned the desert's sand into gold, its oases to homes, joined its tribes into one nation and built a state on the dunes that became known to everyone.
The documentary quoted verses from the poems written by poet Nasser Bin Dhiab and inspired by the biography and impressive accomplishments of the late Sheikh Zayed.
The work includes the important contribution of a selected group of dignitaries that accompanied Sheikh Zayed in his life, and closely examined his approach in administration and governance.
These were close to his daily life, attested his wise leadership and outstanding vision in handling issues. Among them are Sheikh Mubarak bin Qaran Al Mane' Al Mansouri, former escort for the late Sheikh Zayed, Dr. Hamad Ali - media '&' travel companion that accompanied him in a number of state affairs, events and trips, in addition to Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, First Deputy Chairman of the Federal National Council, who was a witness of Zayed's era and his clear imprints in establishing the UAE union, and the institutionalisation of the State.
The film depicts the important testimony of Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh as the personal translator for Sheikh Zayed from the time when he was governor of Abu Dhabi. Nusseibeh recognised the nobleness of Sheikh Zayed's character and intellectual and leadership talent. These noble characteristics enabled him to be the spiritual father of the UAE and its people, uniting the leaders of the seven emirates in the most successful experience that the Arab world has ever seen so far.
The documentary also highlights Sheikh Zayed's honourable national '&' international stances, like Jerusalem and the Palestinian people, who found in H.H. and UAE people all the support, advocacy and humanitarian initiatives, as the former Palestinian ambassador Khaled Malek nicely said: "had the biggest impact in the hearts of the people of this oppressed nation, who was and still is looking forward to the Government and people of the UAE, as an important support for them in their long struggle".
The film was shot at "Zayed Al Adel Centre" in Abu Dhabi, while outdoor scenes were shot in Dubai and Northern Emirates. The director used some of the archival images and rare photos from the National Centre for Documentation and Research and others.
