UAE participates in Arab FMs meeting

Cairo - March 13, 2011 (WAM) - Arab Foreign Ministers held an emergency meeting yesterday at the Arab League's headquarters to discuss developments in Libya and the efforts being made to assist Libyan people.
The UAE delegation to the meeting was led by Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Omani Minister In charge of Foreign Affairs Yousif bin Alawi who chaired the meeting, said the dramatic turn of events in Libya calls for a quick action to prevent further bloodshed. The Arab League's Deputy Secretary general Ahmed bin Heli said a proposed no-fly zone over Libya will be discussed, among other ideas, by the ministers. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
