EAD to unveil new Online Environmental games for children

Abu Dhabi, March 15, 2011 (WAM) - The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) will unveil its newest online environmental games for children at the 21st Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from March 15-20, 2011. The 10 online games are accessible via EAD's kids' portal called Shaheen's World. Shaheen's World is a unique website of its kind in the region that targets youth aged 6-16 with fun environmental information and games. EAD developed these games with UAE youth in mind to help them learn about key environmental issues in a fun way. For example, through the games on global issues, kids can learn about climate change and the ozone layer. A game called Climate Change Countdown challenges players to beat the clock and answer questions about climate change before a polar bear cub drowns. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
