Abdullah bin Sayed, Yemeni FM discuss situation in Yemen

Abu Dhabi, April 24, 2011 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Sayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister received here today Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr Al Querbi. During the meeting the two ministers discussed the results of the recent visit paid to Yemen by the Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States (GCC), and his meeting with Yemeni President and other officials. The Yemeni FM briefed Sheikh Abdullah about the latest developments in Yemen.
The UAE FM called on different parties in Yemen on the need to agree on the GCC initiative as an integrated formula to resolve the Yemeni crisis. Sheikh Abdullah appreciated the response of the Yemeni parties to this initiative, hoping that the response would be complete and quick to help Yemen emerge out from current difficult situation. He indicated that the GCC is keen on the stability and unity of Yemen. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
