Egyptian PM: ties with UAE not strained
Riyadh, April 26, 2011 (WAM) - Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Essam Sharaf has ruled out any tension in his country's relations with the UAE. Following a meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz in Riyadh yesterday, Sharaf said that there was no problem between Egypt and UAE, adding that he will visit UAE, Oman and Bahrain soon. Sharaf described his country's relations with the GCC countries as "historic." "GCC countries' security vital to Egypt. Any interference in GCC's internal affairs is seen by us as a red line." About the Egyptian-Iranian rapport, he said it was meant to turn a new page but it is being hindered by the concept of intervention in others' affairs, particularly the GCC affairs. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
