Tourism industry growing steadily in the UAE

Abu Dhabi, May 8, 2011 (WAM) - The Director General of National Council for Tourism and Antiquities, Mohammed Khamis Al Mohairi, said the UAE has scored huge progress in the area of tourism, commending the support of the leadership to the tourism industry in the State.
He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) in an interview that the UAE has become an important tourism hub at the regional and international levels because of security, social, economic and political stability, besides possessing an unparalleled advanced infrastructure in the Middle East.
Mohairi referred to the success of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2011, which concluded in Dubai on Thursday, indicating that the 18th edition of the ATM proven beyond doubt that the UAE has become an attractive hub for the tourism investments and tourists from the worldwide.
He underlined that the efforts of tourism authorities and the pavilions they featured during the event, represented the tourism diversity, which is a prelude for attracting more tourists to the country. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
