Next international talks on Libya held in UAE: Abdullah Bin Zayed

Rome - The next international talks on Libya will be held in the United Arab Emirates, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs H.H Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan said on Thursday. "The next meeting would be in the UAE, followed by one in Turkey in the second half of June," he told reporters following the Second International Contact Group meeting in Rome. Sheikh Abdullah added that the precise dates of the meetings had not yet been determined.
Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said US$250 million were raised so far for humanitarian aid for Libya.
Second Contact Group Meeting on Libya Thursday in Rome discussed financial help for the Libyan Transitional National Council The 22 Contact Group members who attended the Rome meeting include representatives of the Arab League and the African Union, World Bank, NATO, GCC, OIC, UAE, Australia, Bahrain, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Jordan, Morocco, Netherland, Poland, Romania, Malta, Canada, Tunisia, Spain, Turkey, UK, USA, Sudan and the Holy See.
