Ghobash meets Ban Ki-moon in New York

New York - May 22, 2011 (WAM) - UAE Labour Minister Saqr Ghobash met here on Friday with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon while attending a banquet luncheon hosted by Joseph Deiss, President of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly. The Minister is in New York to attend the Thematic Debate on International Migration and Development at United Nations Headquarters in New York held on 19 May 2011. A number of senior officials from many countries attended the luncheon hosted in honour of the delegates attending the debate. During the meeting, Ghobash exchanged views with Ban Ki-moon and Joseph Deiss on a number of issues related to the labour movement worldwide and other issues of common concern. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
