Abu Dhabi, London Metropolitan Police sign MoU

London - May 24, 2011 (WAM) - Abu Dhabi Police and the London Metropolitan Police will boost their joint cooperation in areas as diverse as public relations, community police, training and exchange of expertise and information. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) in that respect was signed here by Major General Mohamed bin Al Awadi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources, Abu Dhabi Police, Sir Paul Stephenson, Commissioner for the London Metropolitan Police.
Al Menhali affirmed Abu Dhabi Police's keenness to implement directives by HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for upgrading performance of the police forces in line with the government strategy for achieving advanced level of progress so as to enhance security and stability of the society and enforcement of justice and rule of the law.
Al Menhali said he met with the London top police commander to explore avenues of joint cooperation in several police and security issues. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
