FIFA, UEFA Presidents inaugurate stadium in Baku
Azerbaijan, Baku, June 6 / Trend M.Aliyev / The Dalga Arena Stadium and subsidiary stadium constructed by the Azerbaijani Football Federations Association (AFFA) in the Mardakan settlement as a part of the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani football have been opened today.
The presidents of FIFA, UEFA and AFFA, Joseph Blatter, Michel Platini and Rovnag Abdullayev, cut the red ribbon.
Then, they familiarized with the conditions created at the main and subsidiary stadiums.
Blatter said he will again visit Azerbaijan in 2012 to attend the U-17 Women’s Football Championship.
Construction of the Dalga Arena Stadium was launched on April 24 in 2010. The stadium has 6,500 seats.
