Mohammed bin Zayed receives head of Libya's NTC

Abu Dhabi, June 13, 2011 (WAM) - His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and visiting Chairman of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdul Jalil took yesterday stock of the latest developments in Libya.
The meeting, which convened at Al Mina Palace in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister, explored ways of fulfilling aspirations of the Libyan people. Results of the third meeting of the Libya Contact Group which was held recently in Abu Dhabi were also reviewed.
The head of the NTC paid tribute to the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for its substantial support for the Libyan people in order to enable it achieve its aspirations. Abdul Jalil specifically praised these efforts, referring to the latest one ; the UAE hosting of the Libya Contact Group in Abu Dhabi which has come out with good results in support of the NTC. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
