Photo exhibition on ‘Sheikh Zayed in Switzerland’

Lausanne - June 27, 2011 (WAM) - The National Media Council (NMC) has participated in a photo exhibition on “Sheikh Zayed in Switzerland”, organised by the UAE-Swiss Friendship Society within the second session of the Emirati-Swiss Friendship Forum in Lausanne, Switzerland. The NMC showcased with rare pictures and exclusive television footages from the archives of Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the visits of founding father of UAE, late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to Switzerland. These snaps and recordings of Sheikh Zayed’s visit to Switzerland also emphasised the extended historical relations between the two countries.
The NMC also provided comprehensive information on the vital sectors in the country, especially tourism, sports, heritage, monuments and natural life. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
