Azerbaijani President and First Lady attend opening ceremony of Third Congress of World Azerbaijanis

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the opening ceremony of the Third Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Baku today.
The Azerbaijani President spoke at the ceremony.
The representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations, operating in different world countries, Azerbaijani scholars, living abroad, public and cultural figures and businessmen are attending the congress, which is held in accordance with the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev "20th anniversary of the restoration of state independence of the Azerbaijan Republic".
Moreover, famous non-Azerbaijani scholars and intellectuals, providing constant support for informing the world community about the realities of Azerbaijan, were invited to the congress as guests.
The delegates are discussing the work, undertaken during the period after the Second Congress, the Azerbaijani Diaspora's challenges at the present stage, and exchanging views over prospects for further activity.
