Turkmen President to propose holding Caspian security forum in Ashgabat

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will propose at the UN to hold a forum on security in Central Asia and Caspian Sea region in Ashgabat, the country's media outlets reported Friday.
The next UN General Assembly session will open at the UN headquarters in New York on 13 September 2011.
"We had already put forward a number of initiatives to maintain peace and stability in Central Asia and Caspian Sea region. These initiatives were well received," the president noted.
The next logical step in view of official Ashgabat, will be holding of representative forum on security in these regions.
