Georgian police have detained a Turkish citizen, driver of "Ford", which caused a car accident in the village of Lesa in western Georgia. According to preliminary data, "Ford", coming in Batumi, crashed into a minivan, heading from Batumi to Tbilisi.

Seven van passengers died on the spot as a result of wounds and injuries. Another 9 passengers distributed to hospitals in Batumi and Poti. Condition of three of them is hard and they are in intensive care. All the victims in the van are the citizens of Georgia.

Turkish citizen had his family with two children and wife in the car. Three of them are in Poti hospital, but their condition is stable and there is no threat of life.

It should be noted that after a collision between two cars, they faced a double-decker tourist bus coming from Yerevan to Turkey. It hurt a few people who have received only bruises and medics arrived on the scene helped them in place.

Bus passengers were not hospitalized.

The police accuses an arrested Turkish citizen Mahmoud Kutara in speeding and creating an emergency situation.
