SOCAR names volume of Absheron field's gas reserves (UPDATE)

Head of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev has today stated that the discovery of huge reserves on the Umid field in 2010 and the Absheron field in 2011 showed that Azerbaijan is rich in gas reserves.

The field’s potential reserves hit 350 billion cubic meters of gas and 45 million cubic meters of condensate. Accordingly, Azerbaijan’s proven gas reserves rose to 2.55 trillion cubic meters.
