Examination into Azerbaijani Silk Way's aircraft crash in Afghanistan ends

Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 15

The Azerbaijani Health Ministry’s forensic medical examination center has announced the results of examination of the remains of crew-members of the Azerbaijani Silk Way Airlines’s plane crashed in Afghanistan in early July, Ministry’s Section Head, Professor Shakir Musayev said.

The examination revealed that the remains belong to the four crew-members, including three Azerbaijani citizens and one Uzbek citizen.

The examination identified second pilot Oleg Marshihin (79), Flight Engineer Vladimir Shatobin (69), Flight operator Tapdig Gahramanov (47) and Aeromechanic Mehman Huseynov (49).
