Dh110 billion, UAE investments in industrial sector at the end of 2010
Abu Dhabi, Oct 13, 2011 (WAM) - Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy said that the UAE witnessed remarkable progress in the industrial sector last year.
Introducing the industrial year book 2011issued by the Ministry of Economy yesterday, he added that a number of endorsed industrial firms registered in the UAE till the end of 2010 was 4, 960 in which Dhs110. 189 billion were invested and 382, 017 workers employed. The minister noted that the year book 2011 was issued in the line with the efforts of the ministry to achieve the UAE vision to set up competitive knowledge diversified economy by Emirati cadres.
He said the year book provides accurate important information about the industrial sector in the UAE. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
