Amano Report Lacks Legal Basis: MP

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA -- Chairman of Majlis Legal and Judicial Commission said on Wednesday that the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amno’s report on Iran nuclear program is politically-motivated and lacks legal basis. Talking to IRNA, Ali Shahrokhi said that releasing such biased reports is worthless. He said that the US and the western governments have made baseless claims about Iran over the past 30 years, adding that the arrogant powers are seeking to divert the public opinion away from their landmark internal problems. Shahrokhi, who is member of parliament from Kouhdasht constituency, added that Iranian nation has always indentified the enemies’ plots and neutralized them. Referring to anti-capitalism protests and economic crisis in the US and in the European states, he said that they resort to media hype against Iran to overshadow the critical situation they have faced in the financial and economic sector. 'The Islamic Awakening movement in the region revealed that the Muslim nations have identified their foes and they know that the US and European governments are out to loot their assets through their puppets in the region.' He said that Iran has delivered a crushing response to the arrogant powers in the past years./end
