Burj Al Arab to host jazz legend Wynton Marsalis to celebrate 40th UAE National Day

Dubai, Nov 10, 2011 (WAM) - On Friday, 2 December 2011, an iconic jazz musician will make his Dubai debut at the World's Most Luxurious Hotel to celebrate the UAE's 40th national day. Nine-time Grammy winner and Pulitzer Prize recipient Wynton Marsalis will perform an intimate evening of jazz to just 250 jazz lovers at the Burj Al Arab. "Marking the 40th anniversary of the UAE at the Burj Al Arab - one of the world's most recognised landmarks - with Wynton Marsalis - one of the world's most recognised jazz musicians and composers - will be an unparalleled experience for guests," said Heinrich Morio, General Manager of Burj Al Arab. During his whirlwind visit to Dubai, Marsalis, who is a United Nations Ambassador for Peace, hopes to meet with a group of aspiring young Emirati musicians as well as taking in the panoramic views of the city from atop the Burj Al Arab. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
