Iranian spokesman dismisses claim Iran gave Libya shells for chemical weapons

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA)-- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast dismissed the claims by U.S. officials that Iran may have sent Libya shells for chemical weapons and said that the countries which level such allegations against the Islamic Republic themselves had provided the regime of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein with chemicals weapons during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
