Forum on Nuclear-Weapons-Free Zone for Middle East was a show: Iranian spokesman

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA)--Asked why Iran did not attend the Forum on Nuclear Weapons-Free Zone for Middle East, which was held in Vienna on November 21 and 22, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said, “As long as the Zionist regime, in the Middle East region, possesses nuclear weapons and is not a signatory to the NPT and does not allow the agency’s inspectors to inspect (its facilities) and does whatever it wishes without being disturbed, and, as long as the Western countries support this regime and its violations, such conferences will be affectations and will yield no result.”
