Iranian Film Week kicks off in Tunisia

TEHRAN,Dec.11(MNA) – Iranian Film Week in Tunisia opened on Friday with Majid Majidi’s Silver-Bear winner “The Song of Sparrows”. Organized by Iran’s Cultural Office in Tunisia, this is the first film screening program in the country, in which about 27 Iranian films will go on screen. Deputy Culture Minister for Cinematic Affairs Javad Shamaqdari is attending the event aiming to promote cultural exchanges. According to the Iranian cultural attaché to Tunisia Sadeq Ramezani, each province in the country will be hosting the Iranian film week every month. Several sessions on Iranian cinema, joint film productions, as well as TV interviews are also arranged during the week.
