Iranian novel “Age Forty” published in Italy
TEHRAN, Jan.11(MNA) -- The Italian version of Nahid Tabatabaii’s popular novel “Age Forty” was released and distributed by Ponte 33 Publications in Italy.
The novel narrates the life of a 40-year-old woman named Alaleh whose life is affected after the return of the love of her youth from abroad.
The book was released in 1998 by Cheshmeh Publications in Iran. Mostafa Rastegarpur also wrote a screenplay according to the book which was turned into a film under the same title by Alireza Raissan.
“I received the Italian version of the book yesterday but I do not have any information about how the book was received in Italy,” Tabatabaii told .
Established by Irene Chiellini, Felicetta Ferraro and Bianca Maria Filippini, Ponte 33 is the Italian translation of the name of the renowned bridge in Isfahan, “Si-o-Se-Pol”, and the firm aims to introduce Iranian literature to Italians.
