Iran invited to Poland volleyball tourney

TEHRAN,Jan.18(MNA) – Polish Volleyball Federation invited Iran to take part in the 10th annual Hubert Jerzy Wagner's Volleyball Memorial, which will be held in Warsaw from July 21 to 23. The competitions will be held in memory of Poland's Volleyball legend Hubert Jerzy Wagner, who passed away in Warsaw on March 13, 2002. Iran battled past Poland in tough five-setter (23-25, 28-26, 8-25, 26-24, 15-11) at the FIVB Men's World Cup 2011 in Japan. Apart from Poland, the national teams of Iran, Russia, Australia, Brazil, South Korea will participate in the 10th edition of the international tournament dedicated to the memory of 1976 Olympic champion Wagner. Since 2003 a memorial tournament, named “Hubert Jerzy Wagner”, is organized every year in Poland.
